Zion Lutheran Early Childhood Education Center

History

Zion Lutheran Early Childhood Education Center opened its doors in the heart of the village of Hinsdale in September 2005. Zion Lutheran Church and School had been educating children from Kindergarten to 8th grade for over 100 years, producing results ranked in the top 10% of the nation (determined by the Council for American Private Education.)

We no longer offer K-8 programs at Zion Lutheran School.  However, our Early Childhood Education Center was purposefully built for educating 2 ½ to 5-year-old children by offering outstanding half-day preschool programs, enrichment classes, and child care to local families. Our six large classrooms provide beautiful home-like learning environments and our playground extends the classroom outdoors, with opportunities for gross motor development, art, science, carpentry and dramatic play.

In 2009, the Early Childhood Education Center expanded its programs to include 6-year-olds. We offer enrichment programs and summer camp for children in Kindergarten .

In 2010, in response to the needs of the community, we added a 2-year-old class.
