Programs > Daycare

When we opened our new childhood center, we wanted to offer a full-day program which achieved the best balance between the nurturing comfort each child needs and the stimulation that preschoolers thrive on. We believe we have developed a program that fits this need. The program is open Monday through Friday, year-round with the exception of one week between Christmas and New Year and one week mid-August.

Our day care program is based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy. The children learn and are cared for in a new facility that is DCFS licensed. Our learning atmosphere is an enriching environment that stimulates a child's natural desire to learn. Your child's creativity, learning style and individual needs are attended to by highly qualified educators. Our priority is to meet the needs of your child's physical, socio-emotional, intellectual and spiritual well-being.teacher and child

The teachers observe each child throughout the day. Important examples of the child's work are collected and then published into his/her personal portfolio along with the Illinois State Early Childhood benchmarks accomplished in the venture.

Our Daily Routine includes: breakfast, gross motor, learning centers, snack, small group, religion, lunch, quiet time/sleep, enrichment afternoons and late afternoon activities. Our schedule allows the children to spend time both in the morning and afternoon on the playground where there are also many areas in which the children may chose to play/learn. When the weather does not allow us to go outside we have an indoor motor skills classroom. This facility is used to maintain the children's interest and progress in their motor skills development and also allows the children to 'let off steam' when they cannot run it off outside!

The preschool curriculum, which is included in our full-day schedule, provides the foundation for the children's life-long learning and prepares them for their future education. The enrichment afternoons provide in-depth learning experiences through fun activities in a particular area of study. Enrichment afternoons include: Music, Cooking, Science, Dramatic Play and Spanish.
